When I was 16, I left home.

In the same year, and for pretty similar reasons, I started writing a story. I was a bit of an angsty goth, so the story was fairly angsty goth too, all about demons and Faustian bargains and homeless teenagers.

It took me more than 16 years to finish it, but it’s finally here. I am so proud of that lonely, scared 16-year-old who made a monumental decision. It wasn’t always easy, but it was absolutely the right choice - and so was finishing this story.
